Why Integrative Navigation?

All people facing serious illness deserve access to integrative care that brings together the best of both worlds: western medical treatments and the variety of evidence-based supportive therapies that can assist in physical, emotional and spiritual healing and wellbeing. And they deserve reliable support and guidance in blending these worlds into their personal plan for dealing with cancer.

Integrative navigation is a service for people with cancer and their loved ones.  Its purpose is to assist in accessing and navigating western medicine along with complementary or supportive therapies, and to provide support on all levels in facing the challenges of illness.

My focus is on working with you to create a personal healing plan that brings together medical treatments and supportive therapies so that you have information about and access to the best of what is available, empowering you to live your life more fully, on your own terms.

Dealing with cancer doesn’t mean you have to give up your autonomy

In a safe, confidential space, we explore what you feel stands in the way of your healing and wellbeing. You are in charge of what we address; together we work to reduce or remove barriers you are encountering, whether they be physical, emotional or spiritual.

Working your way through cancer can feel overwhelming, confusing and lonely; you may feel like you have lost your center.

Think of me as your sherpa

Sherpas are the individuals supporting mountain climbers to ensure their successful ascent of the world’s most challenging mountains.

From my own cancer experience  and over 25 years of working with others with cancer, I know that each person’s experience is unique; each of us has our own “mountain” to climb.

I have been up and down the mountain with hundreds of people and bring with me the tools, skills and knowledge of the mountain to better equip you for the journey.
